Dr. Vivien Leung
Veterinarian

Dr. Vivien (Dr. Vi) graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, Saskatchewan, where she developed a passion for small animals and exotic pets. Her international experience in Uganda, Hong Kong, and Singapore helped shape her compassionate, whole-patient approach to care. She has also pursued additional training in complementary Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine at the Chi University, Florida.
Dr. Vi founded Langara Veterinary Hospital with a vision of harmony in health, and values forming lasting bonds with pets and their humans.
Vivien is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Outside the clinic, she enjoys singing and appreciates how both music and medicine are about finding the right harmony.

Dr. Sangyun Kim

Dr. Sangyun Kim is originally from South Korea and began his Canadian veterinary journey at Macleod Trail Animal Hospital in Calgary in 2008. Drawn to BC's milder weather and vibrant community, he founded Burkeview Animal Hospital, Port Coquitlam, in 2014.
He is dedicated to providing thoughtful, practical care that balances medical excellence with consideration for each family’s needs. He has a special interest in internal medicine, ultrasonography, soft tissue surgery, and supporting senior pets through every stage of life.
When Sangyun is not at work, you can find him snowboarding or paddle-boarding and enjoying the beautiful BC outdoors.

Heather
Hospital Manager
Heather has been part of the veterinary industry since 2014 and has worked closely with our two doctors for many years. She enjoys helping patients of all sizes and takes pride in supporting pet owners as we work together to care for their animals.
Outside of the clinic, Heather enjoys spending quality time with her senior dog, Sophie, who can often be found at the clinic keeping her company.
